Switching to an iOS 8 device or iOS 8 simulator breaks the app as described earlier. I am usually closer to android development, where i would expect the files to appear within the resulting *.apk.Īnother interesting information is that the new binaries work as expected on an iOS 9 simulator, thus images get retrieved without any problem at runtime. Performing a change as supposed, provoked an emission of the images into the myapp.app package, but i would be more convinced if someone could tell me where to exactly look for images being emitted before these are put into the resulting binary, i suppose they should reside somewhere in the obj folder. I assumed that all the information residing in the myapp.app should contain all the relevant images necessary at runtime. The approach of truly managed to change the outcome regarding the images in the resulting binaries, but with this information i am not totally sure. A strange thing is that the images associated to the appiconset seem to be included in the resulting binary after build and are loaded properly. ![]() ![]() The updated environment seems to elide the associated images during the build process, which makes it clear why it is not possible to load the images at runtime. Furthermore we investigated the logs on the ist and *.csproj files being involved without any luck. This excludes a regression within development of our code base, as far as i can tell. Building some older tagged versions of our app using the updated environment appear to have the same problem, although it surely worked before. ![]() I am 99% sure that the last update broke our image catalogs, because the binaries of our latest release cycle don't have any problems in returning a valid image using this call UIImage.FromBundle ("Compass") for a given folder Resources/Images.xcassets/Compass.imageset, but after the update this particular call is returning Null at runtime. I had issues in the past with Xamarin updates and was waiting to finish a release cycle before installing the newest updates. Hello guys, i am having a similar problem.
